Why Bother With Exterior Detailing?

Remove Road Grime For Real
This isn’t your average car wash. OnPoint’s exterior detailing cuts through layers of dirt, brake dust, bug guts, road salt, and environmental fallout your local gas station wash leaves behind. We get into every crease, emblem, and edge to deep-clean your paint, wheels, glass, and trim for a seriously clean ride that actually feels detailed, not just rinsed off.
Protect Your Paint From The Elements
Your vehicle is constantly under attack from UV rays, bird droppings, road salt, and acid rain. Our detailing process doesn’t just make it shine. We apply high-quality protection to help your paint and trim stand up to the abuse. That means fewer clear coat issues over time, better resistance to fading, and a finish that stays looking fresh longer.
Show Up And Stand Out
Whether it’s a daily driver, weekend cruiser, or your pride and joy, clean paint is something people notice. A well-detailed vehicle shows you take pride in what you drive, and it holds value better, too. This isn’t just about vanity. It’s about making sure your car looks its best, wherever you’re headed.
Your Questions, Answered
OnPoint Exterior Detailing FAQs
What’s Included In An Exterior Detail?
Exterior detailing goes way beyond a basic car wash. We deep-clean every inch of your vehicle’s exterior, including paint, wheels, trim, glass, and more. We use professional-grade tools and products. It’s a full-service reset that strips away grime, restores shine, and leaves your ride looking sharp.
Why Should I Get My Vehicle Professionally Detailed?
Because drive-thru washes don’t cut it. Professional detailing removes baked-on contaminants, adds protection against the elements, and helps your vehicle look its best. It’s not just about shine. It’s about long-term care and preserving your paint.
How Often Should I Have My Vehicle Detailed?
That depends on how you drive and where you park. As a general rule, we recommend a full exterior detail every 3-6 months. If your vehicle sees daily use or rough weather, more frequent detailing can help keep things protected and clean.
Will Exterior Detailing Remove Scratches Or Swirl Marks?
Not always. Exterior detailing removes dirt, bonded contaminants, and light surface haze, but it won’t level deeper scratches or swirl marks. For that, you’ll need paint correction. Think of detailing as maintenance, and correction as repair.
Will You Come To Me?
Yes. OnPoint is fully mobile, so we bring everything to your driveway or workplace—power, water, tools, and products. You get showroom results without ever leaving the house.

Before We Pull Up
How To Prep For OnPoint Exterior Detailing
Don’t worry—you don’t have to do much, but a little prep goes a long way.
Park Somewhere With Space
We’ll need room to work around your vehicle, so try to leave at least 3 feet of clearance on all sides. A driveway is ideal.
Remove Personal Items
Clear out any valuables or accessories on the exterior, like bike racks, flags, or magnets. This lets us clean every inch without risk.
Close It Up Tight
Make sure all windows are up and doors are fully closed to prevent water from getting inside.
Let Us Know About Any Problem Areas
If there’s something specific you want us to focus on, like tree sap, bird droppings, or tar, just give us a heads-up.
